You can even design and etch your own circuit boards, which is great fun and very satisfying when you get it to work. Another idea: When I was younger I made a storm glass from a recipe in an old book. It is a chemical barometer – crystals form in it when there is a storm on the way. The strange thing is – no-one has yet figured out how it works.
